One-to-one guitar lessons for musicians, songwriters and anyone seeking greater ease, creativity and understanding of the guitar as a living musical instrument. Lessons are tailored from complete beginner through to advanced player and can move from foundational technique into improvisation, theory, songwriting, tone and creative exploration.

- Fundamental technique and ease: relaxed, efficient and sustainable playing habits on acoustic or electric guitar.
- Chords, rhythm and fretboard understanding: harmony, chord structures, timing and how they connect across the instrument.
- Improvisation and creative fluency: ear training, melodic development and jazz-influenced improvisational practice.
- Music theory applied to guitar: scales, harmony and structure connected directly to what you play and hear.
- Repertoire and songwriting: developing chosen music or using guitar as a composition and arranging tool.
- Tone, effects and sound exploration: shaping electric-guitar sound intentionally for live and recorded contexts.
- Holistic playing practice: Alexander Technique and Feldenkrais-informed awareness to reduce tension and improve coordination.
- Recording and production: optional introduction to Ableton or another DAW for capturing and developing music.

Your teacher
Aidan Ryan
Aidan is a Melbourne-based guitarist, songwriter, composer, producer and teacher. He studied Interactive Composition and Jazz and Improvisation at the VCA, holds a Diploma in Sound Engineering and brings extensive session, production and original-artist experience to his teaching.
